Greenwich Police say the stop was initiated after the vehicle was observed being driven without lights on in the Riverside section of town on Monday, July 29 around 2:50 a.m.

Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was occupied by four men who were in possession of other people’s mail, police say.

The men, identified as Mohamed M. Bah, 21, of the Bronx; Mohamed D. Bah, 20, of Stamford; Amadou Diallo, 19, of Stamford and Hassane Togo, 20, of the Bronx, were also in possession of a device commonly used to unlawfully take mail from postal boxes, police say.

The men were arrested and charged with sixth-degree larceny, third-degree criminal attempt at ID theft, possession of burglar tools and conspiracy.

Mohamed M. Bah was also charged with interfering with an officer, as police say he provided false and misleading information about himself during the investigation.

The men are scheduled to appear in court on Monday, August 12.
